Mona Singh approached for an American television series?!

Mona Singh, who started her television career with ‘Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi’, has become a name to reckon with in the industry. She never restricted herself to television and dabbled into films to showcase the immense talent she possesses. While Mona has garnered a lot of attention for hosting Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza, but a new lead on her future prospect has left us quite surprised. What one hears is that Mona was recently approached by CBS for their American political and legal drama series - Good Wife.
If the rumours are anything but true then Mona was approached by the channel for the role of an Indian character in place of lead investigator Kalinda Sharma. While the role did look much promising, Mona had to turn it down because of her professional commitments here in India.
A source revealed, “Mona was one of the front-runners for the role of Kalinda Sharma in the television series Good Wife. Post Archie Panjabi left the show, the producers were on a lookout for an Indian face. And thus, they approached Mona for the role, but the actress refused as it clashed with the dates of her professional commitments in India.”
