Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' has been the centre of several controversies right since the very beginning. The movie has received a lot of flak from various directions and it just doesn't seem to stop! The movie has yet again got itself caught up in a controversy regarding Union Minister Giriraj Singh. The minister had rather harsh words against director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

"Does Sanjay Leela Bhansali or anyone else have the guts to make films on other religions or comment upon them? They make films on Hindu gurus, gods and warriors. We will not tolerate this anymore", said Giriraj Singh. Over the weekend Union Minister, Uma Bharti too said that you cannot violate facts if you are making a movie on a historical event. She even added that there are certain limits to freedom of expression. And that one cannot portray someone’s wife as their sister or vice versa.

The movie nor the director can seem to catch a break!
