Ileana D’Cruz: When I started out in films, I didn’t have the conviction at all

Ileana D’Cruz is one of the most beautiful and loved actresses of Bollywood. The actress, who made it big in the industry being an outsider, says it was her parents’ encouragement that gave her strength during the early years of her career.
“When I started out (in films), I didn’t have the conviction at all, but both my mom and dad really encouraged me. They were like, ‘You never know; it might be a good thing, try it out’. I am so glad they did because it was their encouragement that gave me a little bit strength,” said Ileana. She further revealed how proud her mother was when she recently judged a beauty contest. “It was such a big thing to announce to the family that I had judged it. My mom messaged me, ‘I am so proud of you my big girl, you judged a contest.’ It was sweet. I think they are proud of me to a certain extent, but they are more proud for the person that I am and not just for my work in films,”
Ileana is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming romantic-comedy film ‘Mubarakan’ alongside Arjun Kapoor, Athiya Shetty and Anil Kapoor, which will hit the theatres on July 28.
