It looks like Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's legal troubles are far from over! On Saturday, a Mumbai Court issued a non-bailable warrant against the actor on the grounds that he allegedly threatened filmmaker Shakeel Noorani.

According to the reports, in 2001 Dutt had signed Noorani's film 'Jaan Ki Baazi' for Rs 50 lakhs. While Sanjay did shoot for the movie, he walked out of it midway and this caused the director a further loss of Rs 5 crores. Noorani further added that he had tried contacting the actor several times but had received death threats from underworld goons instead.

Sanjay has missed two hearings regarding the case and hence a warrant has been issued against the actor. Talking about the case, Sanjay Dutt's spokesperson said, "This case has been going on since a long time and the present situation has arisen because of the communication lapse between our lawyers and us. We respect the urgency shown by the honourable court regarding our attendance/ representation and we would take immediate measure to rectify the situation."

Noorani as compensation has demanded that Dutt repay him his signing amount of Rs 50 lakhs and Rs 2 crore as damages. As of now, Sanjay Dutt will have to appear in the Metropolitan Magistrate court, Andheri, on Monday.
