Looks like the fallout between long-term friends, Shahid Kapoor and Madhu Mantena is having a direct effect on the 'Padmavati' actor's career. According to sources, it is the result of soured friendship between the two that has caused the actor to lose out on the part of mathematician Anand Kumar in the Super 30 biopic.

The reports further suggest that even Anand Kumar was under the impression that Shahid would be essaying his part in the biopic. So much so that even ace mathematician, Anand made time to catch up on some of Shahid’s most popular works.

A source close to the development revealed, “When Madhu Mantena and Shahid Kapoor ceased to be friends, their professional equation also ended. Shahid found himself dropped unceremoniously out of 'Super 30'.”

Sources close to Shahid revealed that the 'Rangoon' actor was extremely excited to be a part of the biopic. In fact, if the part was finalised, this would have been Shahid's first real-life character.

On the work front, Shahid is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati', where he will be seen playing the part of Rawal Ratan Singh. The shooting for the same is currently taking place in a suburban studio in Mumbai and the actor has just shot a beautiful romantic song with Deepika Padukone.
