Looks like the trouble mounting around ‘Padmaavat’ has been reduced as the Karni Sena has given the hint that the group is willing to watch the film before its release on January 25th. As Sanjay Leela Bhansali had earlier offered them to watch his film, now they are accepting the offer and end the deadlock on the whole issue. The film was constantly facing issues and protest by the Karni Sena and other fringe groups as they taught the film has distorted the history.

The production house of the film had written a letter on January 20 to the Shree Rajput Karni Sena and Rajput Sabha, Jaipur, inviting them to watch ‘Padmaavat’ as to assure that the film showcased honour and did not distort the history of the Rajput community.

Karni Sena leader Lokendra Singh Kalvi said, “We are ready to watch the film. We never said that we will not watch the film. The filmmaker had assured us one year ago that he will go for a special screening and now he has written for the screening and we are ready for that.”

The Supreme Court has declared an all over India release for the film. The film features Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles and will hit the theatres on 24th January.
