Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmaavat' finally has a release date. But unfortunately for the film, it's also set to clash at the box office with the much awaited Akshay Kumar starrer 'PadMan'. Now, according to reports, the filmmaker visited Akshay Kumar at a location in Worli earlier on Friday. A source revealed, "Sanjay Sir has requested Akshay to please consider a shift in the release date of his next film 'PadMan' that is due to release on January 25 with Bhansali's own 'Padmaavat'."

Another trade source added, "Both the 'PadMan' and the 'Padmaavat' makers feel it is bad for both films to clash at the box office. It would mean both would eat into each other's business.'' The sources also added that the makers of 'PadMan' felt bad for 'Padmaavat' as it had to undergo so many trials to reach their destination. However, as per latest reports it has been confirmed that 'PadMan' release has been postponed to February 9 avoiding the clash with 'Padmaavat'. Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Akshay Kumar will also be coming together for a press conference confirming the shifting of the release date. Stay tuned for more updates.
