It seems like it's going to be a while until the CBFC decides to give certification to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati'. And now the Modi Government has decided to go ahead and seek the help of some eminent historians to check and to verify the facts presented in the film. Sources stated that Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry has chosen to sought help of the historians who are also going to be part of the Censor Board panel which will review the controversial content in the film.

Reports suggest that the I&B ministry has written a letter regarding the same to the HRD Ministry after receiving a request from the CBFC for providing it with historians to verify content that has been causing protests amongst various social and political groups. Bhansali has been accused of the misrepresentation of facts by using a romantic dream sequence that has stirred a lot of hatred toward the film.

The controversy-hit film 'Padmavati' is reportedly based on Malik Muhammad Jayasi’s ballad 'Padmavat'.
