Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmavati' has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Just a day after Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) sent the application for 'Padmavati' back because it was "incomplete", the Board's Chairman Prasoon Joshi has slammed the filmmaker for screening the film for select media houses even before it was certified.

The Chairman stated that he was disappointed that the film was being screened even before the CFBC could certify it. Now, it looks like there's another setback for Sanjay's film as 'Padmavati's' release is likely to miss the December 1 deadline, further back from its initial release date of November 17. A source revealed, "The certification body needs a minimum of 68 days to certify a film after it has been submitted. The CBFC, which is grappling with a huge backlog of films, had recently done away with certifying films out of turn." The source added, "In such a situation, it may not be possible to certify the film by December 1."
