Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh has been embroiled in one controversy after another and after many weeks, the film is now set to yet again be viewed by the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) in the coming week. According to sources, the film's producers have submitted the revised version of the application on 28th of November and look forward to it being reviewed by the board.

A source from the CBFC said, “The new application is very consciously worded in legalese and the CBFC is trying to decode the various levels of claims and disclaims in the application about the historic authenticity of the film. This is taking time. But the film will be viewed by the board’s Examining Committee in the coming week, and we will have to organise a panel of historians to examine the content."

Well, we hope after this examination, the film finally does receive a go-ahead from the board and hopefully, the makers announce a release date soon! Rumour has it that the film will probably release sometime in either January or February.
