Troubles seem to be unending for filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. After the violent protests by members of Karni Sena on the sets of the film in Jaipur, now the rumours are that the film might not get a release in Rajasthan. According to a report by PTI, a Rajasthan minister has claimed that 'Padmavati' will not be allowed to release in Rajasthan till the movie is to the Rajput community leaders who have objected to the movie.

Energy Minister Pushpendra Singh, who was addressing a protest organised by Savarna Adhikar Aarakshan Manch near the assembly building assured those present that the film will not be released in the state. The minister said, "We will not allow the release of the film in Rajasthan till it is screened to our community members."

A complete ban on the release of 'Padmavati' in Rajasthan, were one of the few demands put forth by the protesters who were led by the national president of Shree Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena Sukhdev Singh. The other demands were a quota for economically backwards upper castes, including Rajputs, Brahman and others, the formation of a board for upper castes, a CBI probe into the murder of a Rajput community member - Chatur Singh Sodha in Jaisalmer.

Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, 'Padmavati' is all set to release in November 2017.
