'Padmavati' trailer has finally released and we can hardly wait to watch the film

Since the time the posters for the film 'Padmavati' were released, people have been waiting with for the trailer with baited breath. The stunning looks of all three leads, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh left the audience in wonder. Finally, after much waiting, the trailer of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial came out today at exactly 13.03 PM. Reportedly, there is a reason for the trailer launch at this specific time. If Wikipedia is to believed, “In 1303, the Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khalji captured the Chittor Fort from the Guhila king Ratnasimha, after an eight-month long siege. The conflict has been described in several legendary accounts, including the historically unreliable Padmavat, which claims that Alauddin’s motive was to obtain Ratnasimha’s beautiful wife Padmini.” Watch the trailer below.




The film has Deepika Padukone playing the female lead Rani Padmavati in the film. Shahid Kapoor plays the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer is playing the main antagonist Allaudin Khilji. The film is slated to release on December 1, 2017.
