Photos revealed: Janhvi Kapoor as Gunjan Saxena, India’s first combat aviator

After her big launch in the Dharma film, Dhadak, actress Janhvi Kapoor is all set to start work on her next Bollywood film. Much against the naive, playful and carefree character of Parathavi, Kapoor will be essaying the role of the first ever lady combat aviator our country ever saw. Janhvi is set to play the role of Gunjan Saxena who was posted on duty during the tumultuous war of Kargil in 1999.Jahnvi was earlier supposed to working on ‘Takht.’ However, it seems like the actress seems to have begun her work on the biopic as pictures of the actress in her look for the film released on the internet recently.

Gunjan Saxena was responsible for battling through the skies to ensure the safety of her fellow injured soldiers.She was also the first woman to receive the Shaurya Vir Award for her bravery during the war.

According to reports, Janhvi is slated to take flying lessons to prepare for the role and hence wanted to begin working on the film sooner. To essay her role better, the young actress also spent time with Gunjan a few months ago and would meet her again to understand her story better.

According to reports, Dulquer Salman might pair opposite to the actress for this film.Helmed by the Dharma Productions banner, the film would be produced by Karan Johar himself.
