Priyanka Chopra gets candid about her meteoric rise to fame, and being a 'brown girl origin' in Hollywood
2016 has certainly been a fantastic year for Priyanka Chopra! Priyanka Chopra, who featured on IMDb's list of most popular celebrities, at No. 55, recently moved up to the 16th spot on the list. She also ranked eighth on the Forbes list of highest paid celebrities in the world, and was also featured on one of the six covers of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People" of 2016.

When quizzed about her dream-like journey, and if the actress is afraid that this bubble will burst too soon, she said, "I've been in the business long enough to know that evolution is the only way forward." Talking about her recent achievements she said, "It feels incredible to be No. 16 on the IMDb list and I'll just keep working. There is no other way to win."

Talking about being 'brown girl origin' in Hollywood, PeeCee said that it is her 'brown girl origin' that has the international media is eating off her hands. Talking about the diversity in Hollywood, she said, "There is a certain curiosity about who I am, where I'm from and the 50-odd films I've done. They like discussing the diversity."

Asked if she's worried about being labelled a "sex symbol" post her role in 'Baywatch' she laughed it off saying, "Being objectified is part of my job. I don't get offended when I'm called a sex symbol because I'm an actress and it's the nature of what I do. Actually, there are very few things that offend or scare me now."

And when prodded if being called 'sex symbol' bothers her, she quips, "Of course you want to be hot, but that's not all you want."
