Priyanka Chopra is currently gearing up for her upcoming Hollywood debut with the film ‘Baywatch’, alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. In a recent interview with Arthur Kade, the actress was asked how, after reaching such incredible heights in her career, she has managed to remain so grounded.

To this PeeCee said, “I am just a person. I have always just been a girl. I have been doing this (being in show business) since I was 17 years old, that’s half of my life. I don’ know anything else except being in front of the camera. This is my normal. So if I don’t find normalcy in this I am going to be insane and that I don’t want to be (laughs). I love doing what I do. I don’t take it for granted. I know show business is extremely fickle. It’s here one day and might not be here the next day. So want to give by best so that somewhere, hopefully, I’ll leave behind a legacy.”

When asked if she sees herself as a role model, Priyanka said, “I don’t walk out of my door saying all right let me fix my tiara, I am going to be a good role model today. But yes I do feel a sense of social responsibility. I feel like I have been put in a place where I am privileged. I have a lot at my disposal and I should use my platform to be able to give back. Whether that’s me as a celebrity, whether that’s me as an actor, whether that’s me as a person or even just me as a girl. I think it’s on each one of us to be socially responsible to the world around us. We can’t question what’s happening in the world if we are not willing to change it.”

Talking about the passion she has for her work, the ‘Quantico’ star asserted, “.I get up every morning and I walk on to the set whether it is sitting and doing interviews, whether it is talking about my show coming back on Monday, whether it is shooting for a crazy scene…I see myself doing something that is bigger than me. I am creating an artist that might be bigger than me as Priyanka, me as just a person. And art always ends up becoming bigger than you. And I want to be able to see whatever I do, I don’t know what that will be, to become that.”
