Priyanka Chopra on her next with Madhuri Dixit: It's unchartered territory for me

There has been a lot of excitement since the reports that Priyanka Chopra is producing an English TV series on the life of Bollywood diva, Madhuri Dixit came out. A comedy series, the script for the same is being written by Sri Rao, who made his Bollywood writing debut with Nitya Mehra's 'Baar Baar Dekho'.

While Priyanka is busy creating waves globally and is known for her regional productions under the banner of Purple Pebble Pictures, the actress is all set to make her Hollywood debut as a producer. Dubbed as 'Producer Pri' by her fans, PeeCee is excited about her new role. The actress said, "One of the favourite parts of my job as an actress-producer is that I can tell stories across genres, languages and to a varied audience. The story needs to appeal to me and impress me and what better than the incredible, real life of Madhuri Dixit."

Talking about the venture, Priyanka said, "It's unchartered territory for me but I'm happy I've taken another step in my creative journey as a producer. It's a fun concept and will be shot as a single-camera sitcom which will blend comedic and dramatic elements. I've only just begun developing the pilot but am rolling up my sleeves and getting to work. Sri is fabulous and this is his series, I'm only shepherding it."

The pilot of this yet-untitled next will be shot next month and will have Madhuri Dixit and Dr Sriram Nene step in as executive producers. On the work front, Priyanka is currently shooting for her upcoming projects, 'A Kid Like Jake' and 'Isn't it romantic?'. Signing off Priyanka promised that she has more projects on her plate and she will make the announcement soon.
