Priyanka Chopra on Sridevi: She was the ultimate actor

Priyanka Chopra was one of the first few Bollywood actresses to take to social media and offer her condolences to Sridevi's family post her untimely and unfortunate demise. And we have realised that much like us and the nation, she has left Priyanka heartbroken too! Recently, Priyanka penned an emotional tribute to Sridevi for an international magazine. She mentioned how the late actress was brilliant at her craft and she also credited Sridevi for being India’s first female superstar.
Priyanka wrote, “She could be childlike, grown up, funny, serious, beguiling, sexy—she was the ultimate actor.” She also mentioned how everyone wanted to be like her. She also reminisced her last meeting with Sridevi. Priyanka wrote that Sridevi pulled her into a tight hug and had talked about her daughters Janhvi and Khushi when they met on the red carpet of an event in December. Continuing to write, she penned down, “She was my childhood, and one of the big reasons I became an actor. To refer to all of us as mere fans would be a disservice to her. When the news first broke of her passing, I was immobilized. All I could do then was listen to songs from her films, revisit her interviews and watch her iconic scenes over and over again. I knew I was not alone; millions were feeling that exact emotion of shock and loss. Her connection with the audience was so strong that each one of us has special memories linked to her.”
Well, it goes without saying but we will say it anyway! We will miss you Sridevi...
