Priyanka Chopra’s big Hollywood debut, ‘Baywatch’, will now release on May 26, 2017 instead of May 19.
2017 is the much awaited by cine-goers as both, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut films are to release next year. It is surely a big year for Bollywood! Priyanka will be making her Hollywood debut alongside the likes of Dwayne Johnson and Zac Effron, whereas Deepika’s debut film, ‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’ will see her star alongside Vin Diesel.

‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’ will release in January next year, however, Priyanka starrer ‘Baywatch’ release date is now pushed by a week. The film was to first release on May 19, 2017, but will now hit the theatres on May 26 instead. The film will now release on the same day as ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ that stars Johnny Depp. The film is the fifth instalment in the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise, and the series is known to be amongst the biggest hits in Hollywood.

While this looks like a matter of concern, the makers of ‘Baywatch’ are banking on the fact that Dwayne Johnson is currently the most sought after actor in Hollywood. Also, had the film released on its original date, it would have clashed with four other films – ‘Alien: Covenant’, ‘Diary Of A Wimpy Kid’ sequel, ‘Annabella 2’, and ‘The Nut Job 2’. Maybe, the makers thought this was a cause enough to postpone the film by a week.
