PV Sindhu wants Deepika Padukone to potray her in biopic

Indian shuttler PV Sindhu has once again made the country proud, and how. The badminton champion made a historic win at the Badminton World Federation World Cup last month. With a gold medal at the major championship, Sindhu has once again put India in the spotlight onthe world map.
Post her historic win, the country’s inquisitiveness about knowing every detail of the sports champion’s life has awakened. From her rigorous workouts to strict diets and abstaining from even checking one’s cellphone, Sidhu’s journey of being India’s best shuttler to the world’s best shuttler has been a difficult but an inspiring one.
Sindhu’s big win has also given Bollywood actor and now producer, Sonu Sood the perfect climax for the biopic on her life, he is currently working on. When asked about what she thought about the biopic, she said, “Yes he told me. But I could only speak to him for a few minutes. He is travelling… So I’m yet to find out more about it. All I can say is that the film is in safe hands and I am sure he will do whatever is best for the film. He has my support.”
So which actor does she think is best suited to play her on screen? “Would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then the makers would take the final decision and I trust their decision,” she replies.
And we pretty much agree. Badminton runs in Deepika’s genes. ( Deepika is the daughter of famed badminton player, Prakash Padukone.) Not only that, Deepika is a skilled badminton player herself.
