Radhika Apte on being slammed for her bikini picture: It’s ridiculous

Recently actress Radhika Apte was trolled for posting a picture of herself wearing a bikini on a beach in Goa. The actress has received a lot of appreciation for her character in ‘PadMan’. The actress questioned that do people expect her to wear a saree on the beach, “I didn’t even know I was being trolled till someone told me. It’s ridiculous! Do people expect me to wear a sari on a beach?


When asked about how she deals with trolls the actress said, “I don’t know them, so I don’t deal with them.”


Talking about ‘PadMan’ reviews she said, “I haven’t read all the reviews, but I knew people would like it. It’s a perfect mixture of feel-good content and mass appeal. I might have played village girls, but all the roles have been different from each other.”


Further talking about working with Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui she said, “I think it was a combination of all those things, plus the medium. Also, I had never been directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, who is helming my part. I wanted to collaborate with Saif and Nawaz as well, so it all worked out. But I have gone through the script, and it’s great!”


The actress will also be seen in ‘Baazaar’ and ‘Shoot The Piano Player’, the actress said, “I would not promote something that I don’t believe in. I should be convinced about the filmmaker’s approach to the subject. Otherwise, I have no limitations.”
