Raj Kundra: Shilpa's name is dragged in to create media hype

Recently a criminal case of cheating was filed against Bollywood couple Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra for duping a textile firm owner of Rs 24 lakhs. Talking about the complaint filed, Raj Kundra has released a statement saying that his wife's name is being dragged in the case to create media hype.
Raj Kundra further added that "the vendor is misusing his connections in various stations" to gain limelight.
The statement issued by Raj Kundra reads, "This is a civil matter and an abuse of the law. We have tight contracts signed and on the contrary, the vendor owes us money for not fulfilling orders. Best deal is, unfortunately, being wound up due to the business failing and we are following the laws of the land to close the various matters properly."
Talking about Shilpa's involvement in the case, husband Raj Kundra further added, "It’s sad that at every step of the way, my wife’s name is dragged in to create media hype. She was a non-executive, who had nothing to do with the daily running of the business."
