Rajasthan Court rules in favour of Shah Rukh Khan in the property damage case

Shah Rukh Khan's unique promotional strategy, 'Raees by Rail' during the release of 'Raees' landed the actor in trouble owing to a mishap. As a part of the promotional tour, Shah Rukh Khan travelled from Mumbai to Delhi in the Rajadhani express and greeted his fans at all the halts. However, owing to the actor's popularity there was an unruly mob at the Kota station, which caused slight damage to the property. Following this, a man named Vikram Singh filed a damage to public property case against SRK in Kota, Rajasthan.
According to the latest development, Rajasthan Court has granted relief to the actor in the case. The Rajasthan High Court issued a directive to Rajasthan police to refrain from taking any coercive action against Shah Rukh Khan. The complainant, Vikram Singh is a trolley vendor at Kota GRP. Vikram Singh stated that during the trip SRK threw something at the public and in rush to grab it there was a commotion and his trolley overturned, the items on it got damaged and he also got hurt.
Vivek Raj Bajwa, the counsel for Shah Rukh argued that the actor had deposited a sum of Rs 1, 89, 850 for using the August Kranti Rajdhani Express train and had also obtained the required permissions for the promotion of his movie. He further stated that FIR was filed with the motive of gaining publicity. Concluding, Bajwa stated that according to the Railway Act, a complaint could only be filed by Railway officials and not any private individual and the railways had not filed any complaint.
