Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmavati' has been in the limelight ever since the film's inception. The film faced flak from members of different political parties who not only beat up the filmmaker but also burned down the film's sets. It looks like there's new trouble for the film every single day. Now, there is news that 'Padmavati' is facing fresh trouble in Rajasthan. Film distributors have said that they will not buy the film's distribution rights unless the controversies surrounding the film have been resolved.

Starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh, the film is slated for release on December 1. Various Rajput groups, including the Karni Sena, have threatened to disrupt the screening of the movie, accusing Sanjay of “distorting” historical facts. “Karni Sena and other Rajput community leaders are protesting against the film over alleged distortion of historical facts. We are also against the distortion of historical facts and will purchase the distribution rights only after the controversy is settled,” Raj Bansal, a leading film distributor said. "Let them reach an amicable solution, then only we will purchase the rights of the film,” he added.
