Rajinikanth: I was not offered to become brand ambassador for Malaysia

Rajinikanth slams the reports of replacing Shah Rukh Khan as the Malaysian brand ambassador
Southern superstar, Rajinikanth has rubbished the reports that he is all set to replace Shah Rukh Khan as the Malaysian brand ambassador. Reports were that owing to his immense popularity in Malacca, the Malaysian government was contemplating offering Rajinikanth the position of the country's tourism ambassador.

Adding further fuel to the rumours was the fact that Rajinikanth recently met Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Rajak at his residence in Chennai. However, talking to media post his interaction with Malaysian PM, Rajinikanth slammed the rumours of him being the latest Malaysian tourism ambassador.

The 'Sivaji' actor said, "I was shooting a movie in Malaysia some time ago. I could not meet him then, so I met him now. Malaysia extended extremely good cooperation. It happened that he is here in Chennai. He accepted my invitation. He saw the ‘Kabali' clips also for 15-20 minutes. He liked it. He offered me to do more pictures in Malaysia. It was a goodwill meet."
