It seems like the serious fall in the success graph of movies at the Box Office has alerted filmmakers and made them pull up their socks. Karan Johar, known for showering funds on his lavishly made movies, has decided to cut the budget of his upcoming movie ‘Dragon’ to half of the amount that was initially decided upon.

The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who will be sharing the screen for the first time. “Karan gave Ayan a choice. Either take a budget cut or shut down the film. It hasn’t been a good phase for Ranbir, and the last thing Karan wants on his hands is another 'Jagga Jasoos',” revealed a source. Apparently, this recent development will result in Ayan dropping his plans of getting top-notch Hollywood technicians for stunts and special effects for ‘Dragon’.

The movie will also bring Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir together on screen for the first time and is scheduled to go on floors by the end of 2017.
