Irrespective of the course a Ranbir Kapoor starrer takes, the actor always manages to receive praises in abundance for his acting prowess. The actor, in the past and till date, has dared to risk by taking up projects like 'Jagga Jasoos', 'Tamasha'and now the Sanjay Dutt biopic. One of the most awaited films, the Sanjay Dutt biopic is the first time ever Ranbir will be seen in a biopic that too of an actor who has had quite an eventful life. In a career spanning nearly two decades, the actor has also managed to work with some of the best filmmakers that include Imtiaz Ali, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rajkumar Hirani, Karan Johar, et al.

The Sanjay Dutt biopic being one of his most challenging roles, Ranbir in an interview with a leading daily spoke about the film at length. He said, "Sanju Sir has been closely attached to the film. He has come on set and has been amazingly supportive. It used to be surreal for me because I am acting like him. He used to sit in front of the monitor and see some scenes and be so happy. He’s like an overgrown child, who gives love to people…I feel like I was born to play this part. He is the only actor whose picture is on my cupboard and to play him is surreal. Getting a physical look right is easy. To get somebody’s soul right, the human being right- that’s the hard part."

"I hope I’ve done a good job.I’m grateful for this film and am working hard on it. I hope that people understand this man’s life, his soul through my work," concluded Ranbir.

Apart from the Sanjay Dutt biopic, Ranbir will also be seen alongside Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in Ayan Mukerji's 'Dragon'. He is also in talks with 'Jagga Jasoos' director Anurag Basu for a biopic on Kishore Kumar. Doesn't the actor have an interesting line-up for the upcoming years?!
