Ranbir Kapoor Speaks Up On His Rumoured Link-Up

As Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was set to release, we got to see more of Ranbir Kapoor talking about his personal life and film choices to the media. During the film’s promotions, stories of Ranbir’s alleged affair with a Delhi girl started making rounds. Post his break-up with Katrina Kaif Ranbir has many a times been linked to women who we hardly know of. Blind items too suggested that the superstar is making conscious efforts to stay in love, but nothing to which anything substantial could be made out.

Though Ranbir has remained unavailable throughout to comment on his relationship status, he opened up about the same on a talk show hosted by Neha Dhupia. Ranbir spoke about Bharti Malhotra who was said to be friends with his sister Riddhima, and his closeness to her only made more sense then. But denying that, Ranbir said: Six months back the media linked me with this girl called Bharti Malhotra I have no idea about, I have never met…They wrote an article about that and went to interview her. She was seeing someone and said ‘how can you link me up with him when I am not even his fan’, that was a completely baseless story.

Taking back from Ranbir’s statement, one does remember Bharti in an interview stating that she had no clue where these rumours came from. She herself was startled as she had to make calls to publications requesting them to take the stories down. What added to her problems were when a few portals went on to post more on the alleged relationship between the two.

Though Ranbir and Bharti, both have stated their views on the rumoured relationship, we often appreciate when stars speak-up rather than create curiousity around the matter. It is a definite no, no this time for this alleged affair.
