Rani Mukerji recently gave birth to her daughter Adira Chopra and was on a sabbatical from work ever since then. Now, the actress is all set to make her comeback on the silver screen with the upcoming YRF film, 'Hichki' which is being helmed by Siddharth P Malhotra.

Recently, in an interaction with a leading daily, Rani spoke about her role as a mother and stated, "As they say, 'When you become a mother, your child gives birth to you as a mother'. I am learning every day as a mother and I am sure my daughter will teach me much more about motherhood. Also, it all depends on her."

She further said, "Your child should know you as an independent mother and respect you not just for being a mother who looks after them, but also for being independent enough to go out there in the world and work." Rani also spoke about working parents and stated, "They will understand that work is important, as they are always like, 'My parents go out to make a living and come home to spend time with me'." She added, "I love being a full-time mother, which I have enjoyed in the last two years. But I think it is time for me to get back to work (smiles)."

When asked about her film 'Hichki', the actress stated, "I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and Hichki came my way. Each one of us has a weakness that pulls us back, it could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won't come in the way of achieving your dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I have decided to take it up."
