In 2014, Rani Mukerji was seen taking to the big screen with the hard-hitting and impactful movie on human trafficking, 'Mardaani' and she even won a lot of appreciation for her role played as a police officer in the movie. Now, with the number of sequels taking place in Bollywood, one can only wonder if there will be a sequel to 'Mardaani'. Rani opened up about this...

Speaking to a leading daily, she said, "I can’t do 'Mardaani 2' just for the heck of it. It has to make sense to me. So, if we get an equally powerful subject to deal with then I will definitely do 'Mardaani 2'." "We are still looking for a good script — it is important for me to have a convincing script," Rani added.

Now, the actress is all set to come back in movies after a break post giving birth to her daughter, Adira. She will be soon seen in 'Hichki' where she will be seen playing a teacher suffering from Tourette syndrome. On her upcoming movie, she had said earlier, "I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and 'Hichki' came my way. Each one of us has a weakness that pulls us back, it could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won't come in the way of achieving your dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I have decided to take it up."

The film is slated to release on the 23rd of March!
