Ranveer ignored an invitation to dine with Shahid Kapoor?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ is one of the most awaited movies of Bollywood. Bhansali dreams of making it bigger and grander than any of his films. But it seems like the filmmaker would have to work a little too hard for this to happen.

Apparently, Bhansali invited Shahid and Ranveer for dinner over to his place but both the actors declined the invitation. Bhansali wants the two actors to get along since there’s just less than a month left for ‘Padmavati’ to go on floors. But it seems like the cold war between the two actors isn’t going to end any time soon.

Apparently, Ranveer isn’t very happy that his role has been changed from that of an anti-hero to a conventional villain in order to make Shahid’s role more substantial.

Shahid Kapoor will play the role of Rana Rawal Ratan Singh, Deepika Padukone’s character Rani Padmini’s husband. The role was initially supposed to be played by Vicky Kaushal, but after Deepika refused to romance a lesser known celebrity, the role went to Shahid. Apparently, it was after this that the script went through a number of changes to make Shahid’s role more substantial, which had an impact on Ranveer’s role as well. This didn’t go down too well with Ranveer and is the primary reason behind the cold war between him and Shahid.
