We bet all you Rajinikanth fans were eagerly awaiting the Akshay Kumar-Rajinikanth starrer '2.0' however, you'll will have to wait a little longer since the movie's release date has been postponed again. The film which was supposed to release in December this year got pushed to 26th January and now the makers have yet again officially announced that the film will hit the screens in April 2018.

This decision interestingly comes after Akshay Kumar announced the release date of his next, 'PadMan'. This news came as quite the shocker to all, leaving us fans wondering whether there will be an Akshay versus Akshay at the box office. However, it is clear that the crisis has been averted after the production house of '2.0' just recently released an official press statement on the release of the film pushing it to April 2018. Here's what it read:

In an interview earlier Akshay had even stated that if the makers decided to release '2.0' on the same date as 'PadMan' he would postpone his own production, if not, he would go ahead with it. '2.0' also stars Amy Jackson and also marks Akshay Kumar’s debut in the south Indian film industry.
