Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmaavat' is finally set to release on 24th January. But the controversies surrounding the film are far from over. Every day there seems to be some new trouble for the film. Even though the Supreme Court has allowed the film's release in the country after the CBFC gave it a clearance certificate, protestors still don't seem to be calming down. Fringe groups are now threatening to burn down theatres and are warning people against watching the film.

Amidst all the controversy many celebrities from the industry have expressed solidarity with the makers of the film. Amongst them is actress Renuka Shahane, who had a message for all the haters. The actress is known for being vocal about social issues and has always taken a stand for what she believes in. The actress took to her Facebook account to share a picture of a protest with people holding a big banner with ‘Ban Padmavat’ on it. A red cross has been drawn on the banner indicating that the ban is not required. Below stands the actress with three placards which read, Ban rape, ban female foeticide, ban sexual molestation. Her Facebook post has gone viral and got over 5000 likes in just 12 hours. Check out the post below:

Well, we wonder if people will take a cue from this and stop acting out against the film. Stay tuned for more updates.
