Monsoons are perfect for long, aimless drives. And, the makers of the upcoming film, ‘Karwaan’, recently launched a song that aims to set the perfect mood for hitting the road. Titled ‘Chota Sa Fasana’, the road trip track features the key characters in the film — essayed by Irrfan and (Bollywood) debutants Dulquer Salman and Mithila Palkar.

The song, composed by Anurag Saikia and sung by Arijit Singh, has been climbing charts ever since its release. The track’s lyrics have struck a chord with listeners and it has been garnering appreciation online and is also quite popular on music apps.

The movie, directed by Akarsh Khurana, revolves around three oddballs from different walks of life, who are thrown together during a bizarre journey. Their trip from Bangalore to Kochi via Ooty and Kumarakom, turn out to be adventurous in more ways than one — some lines are crossed, some bonds are forged, detours are made, experiences are shared and secrets are revealed. Over the course of their journey, normalcy returns to their lives.

‘Karwaan’, produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP in association with Priti Rathi Gupta of Ishka films, releases on August 3.
