After getting terribly thrashed by Sri Lanka in the first ODI match of the series, team India seems to have made a comeback as interim captain Rohit Sharma played a record-breaking knock by hitting his third double-century to further enhance his reputation as an ODI opener. And he has even broken the Internet with what he did after dedicating his third double century to wife Ritika Sajdeh.
The day of the match also apparently marked Rohit and Ritika's second wedding anniversary and she was right there in the stands cheering him on. After completing his knock out, Rohit took his helmet off and he waved his bat at the crowd and then blew a kiss to his wife especially suggesting this one was his wedding anniversary gift for her, while she tried to hold back the tears of joy.
Post the match, at the press conference, he said, "I'm happy my wife is here with me on this special day. I know she would have liked this gift from me. She has been my strength.
