Its action if it’s a Rohit Shetty film. You would see a lot of drama, comedy, and of course, his signature, cars being blown for most of the stunts. The filmmaker is as bold with his words as he is with his movies. It takes courage to criticize one’s own piece of work, and Rohit Shetty’s got it.

Golmaal was definitely the break through project of Rohit’s career. It’s sequal too, was one of the highest grossing movies of the year 2008. Apparently, Rohit didn’t feel it was his finest work. Speaking of the movie, he said:

"'Golmaal Returns' was the biggest hit of those days...in 2008. But we knew, it's a crap film."

He admitted the fact that he is into hard core commercial cinema. He says he gets an intuition whether a movie would be a hit or not, and most of the times he has been right.

"My films are hard core commercial films catering to a particular audience. I start getting that feeling that it won't work at that level. I had been right about it twice or thrice."

He probes inside the success or failure of each of his films. He, along with his team, analyzes why a film worked and why one did not. He says failure doesn’t disturb him much. ‘Dilwale’ and ‘Singham Returns’ did not do well at the box office, but he realized that what he could do was to learn from what went wrong and move forward.

"In 'Singham Returns', the character went wrong. 'Dilwale'...the whole Kajol-Shah Rukh story went wrong. You come to know where you are going wrong. And then you rectify and move forward."

The filmmaker is currently shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Golmaal 4’, which is scheduled to release in 2017.
