Saif Ali Khan: People on the internet are very opinionated

Within a few hours of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan's baby's birth, all hell broke loose on social media when people started demeaning the couple for naming their son ‘Taimur Ali Khan’. The name was linked to Timur, the name of the founder of the Timurid Empire, who was responsible for killing thousands during his period of rising. A wave of criticism followed and Saif and Kareena had to face the flak for no reason.
Breaking his silence on the whole fiasco Saif recently said, "My wife and I liked the name Taimur, it suits him and it sounds good according to me. There are many names associated with history and people on the internet are very opinionated. I am confident that in most civilised society this would be accepted and it wouldn’t be an issue."
"If someone on reacting is too right wing and too political then I’m not interested in debating anyway," said Saif before signing off.
