Post ‘Rangoon’, Saif Ali Khan was supposed to have three more releases this year, ‘Chef’ in July, 'Kalakaandi' in September and 'Baazaar' in December. However, the makers of ‘Chef’ have decided to postpone the movie’s release as they want to avoid a Box Office clash with other movies. The movie was to hit the theatres on 14th July, but for now has been postponed indefinitely.

Talking about this, a source said, “July 14 became over-crowded. There are too many releases in the first two weeks if July. We’re looking into a new release date. The producers feel we should get some sort of passage to ensure a proper release. Nowadays we have to consider Hollywood releases also while seeking a proper release date. I think there is too much time, effort and passion involved in the making of a film to be adamant about a release date.”

Although the makers haven’t disclosed any tentative dates for the movie’s release, there’s a possibility that the release will be pushed to 2017.
