One of Salman Khan's most anticipated Eid release, 'Tubelight' didn't quite manage to impress critics as well as the actor's many fans. The film turned to be a dud at the Box Office, causing the makers and distributors losses. As reported earlier, the distributors and co-producers of the film requested Salman to return back their money as they had incurred huge losses due to film's low performance.

And now as per the report in a leading tabloid, Salman held a meeting on Saturday and discussed the losses incurred. A source present at the meeting revealed, "The distributors met Salman at his home, where his father, Salim Khan, was also present. Salman has agreed to compensate them for their losses." While the compensation amount has not been revealed, sources suggest that the amount is around 60 crore.

Confirming the same, Salman's father Salim Khan said, "When a distributor suffers a loss, the producer needs to show some responsibility and share the burden. We, too, have done the same thing. We met a few of them and are trying to find a middle ground. We will pay back the distributors."

Further elaborating that returning the money to distributors is not a new practice, the veteran writer added, "We all have to work with each other in the future. So, it's good that like-minded people come together and make a decision, which acts as a win-win situation for both the makers as well as the distributors."

Earlier, superstar Rajinikanth too compensated the distributors for the losses they incurred due to 'Lingaa's' poor performance at the Box Office and Shah Rukh Khan too has paid back distributors for films like 'Dilwale', 'Asoka' and 'Paheli'.
