Salman Khan acquitted in the Arms Act case. It comes as a relief for the actor as Johdpur Court acquitted him in the illegal arms act case
On Wednesday, the Jodhpur Chief Judicial Magistrate Court acquitted actor Salman Khan in the Arms Act case. On October 1-2, 1998 a case under sections 3/25 and 3/27 of the Arms Act was filed by the Forest Department against Salman for illegally keeping and using firearms with an expired licence. The arms possessed by Salman were allegedly used for poaching of blackbucks in Kankani near Jodhpur.

This was one of the four cases filed against Salman, out of which Salman has been already acquitted by Rajasthan High Court in two cases of poaching of chinkara. However, a trial is still on for the third case of alleged poaching of two blackbucks. In an interaction with ANI, Salman's lawyer said, "Salman Khan (has been) acquitted in the Arms Act case after the prosecution failed to provide conclusive evidence."

Salman arrived at the Jodhpur court yesterday with sister Alvira and his advocates. He was present in the court when the verdict was pronounced.
