Salman Khan gets candid about the subdued response to his latest release, 'Tubelight'
While Salman Khan's recent release, 'Tubelight' did manage to enter the 100 crore club, it took the film almost five days to do so, making it Salman's slowest money-spinner. However, when quizzed about the slow response to the film, Salman grinned and said, "Do I look worried?"

Explaining the reason behind film's subdued response, Salman said, "People expected a different film. An eid film with singing and dancing. They can’t see me cry." Though the film might have now entered the 100 crore club, the trade experts believe that the film might end up losing approximately INR 60 crore or more.

A producer on condition of anonymity said, “When Salman says he is not worried, he is probably right. His financial liabilities regarding the film have been taken care of, as his films lose nothing even if the movie underperforms. It is the distributors who are likely to suffer.”

When prodded if Salman plans to compensate the producers. the source added, "It would be the right thing for Salman to do because the distributors are likely to suffer substantial losses. But it all depends on Salman’s discretion. If he feels he owes it to the distributors, he will.”
