Sanjay Dutt is all set to return to the silver screen after serving his prison sentence with Omung Kumar’s ‘Bhoomi’. The movie revolves around the story of a girl (Aditi Rao Hydari) who is brutally raped and then his father (Sanjay) seeks revenge for the heinous crime.

Sanjay revealed that the Nirbhaya rape case had a huge impact on his mind and disturbed him to a great extent. “I think there should be a faster justice in place. We should give more importance to issues like this. When I heard about the case, I didn’t sleep for 10 days. I don’t think the girl has got justice yet. They say that the boy was a juvenile so that’s not justice.”

Not just this, he even feels there should be no pay disparity on the basis of gender in any field. “There should be a change and I stand for women because I have two daughters and sisters. I think people should start respecting and there should be equality in everything for women.”

Set against the backdrop of the land of Taj Mahal, Agra, ‘Bhoomi’ hit the theatres today.
