Sanjay Dutt: ‘Sadak 2’ not a remake, but another part of the same film

Sanjay Dutt opens up about the possibility of a sequel to his 1991 drama 'Sadak'
Speculations were rife that Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt are soon to join hands for a project. The rumours started after Sanjay was spotted at Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt's office located in Khar. The said project is rumoured to be a sequel to the 1991 Pooja and Sanjay starrer 'Sadak'. Titled 'Sadak 2' the film will be helmed by 'Begum Jaan' director Srijit Mukherji.

During a recent interview with Sanjay, a leading tabloid asked if any of these rumours were true. To this, Dutt replied, "Nothing's completely planned as yet. But yes, if 'Sadak 2' ever happens, I would love to do it."

If a sequel to the movie is made buzz that it will be a Mahesh Bhatt directorial with daughters Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt playing the leading ladies in the film. Speculations further suggest that Pooja and Sanjay will play parents to Alia in the sequel. "It's a great script - not a remake, but another part [of the same film]. I have spoken to Bhatt saab about it. I hope something comes out of it," added Sanjay.

While the actor is tight-lipped about the project, his talks indicate that there are possibilities that 'Sadak 2' is in the pipeline.
