Sanjay Leela Bhansali accorded way more police protection that Deepika Padukone

Sanjay Leela Bhansali had a bounty on his head and so it was only fitting for the director to keep a low profile and that is what the director has been doing ever since the 'Padmavati' controversy began to snowball. However, after weeks the director stepped out finally and was spotted at the Mumbai airport as he had to fly to Delhi to appear before a 30-member Parliamentary panel along with CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi.
A source close to the director said, "Since there is a bounty on his head, one does not know what anyone can do. Hence, Bhansali has been staying away from the limelight. Normally one can see him roaming around Versova where he stays. He even carries his Ganesh idol himself on foot to immerse it. He did it this year too. But in the event of this fatwa of sorts, he did not want to come out. He has also been accorded police protection and it is much more than what Deepika has been given as well." Bhansali was manhandled as also slapped by the Karni Sena during the first schedule of the film in Rajasthan.
Sources now reveal that the panel will reach a major decision post being appraised about the entire issue regarding the film.
