Sanjay Leela Bhansali to not direct 'Gustakhiyan' starring Priyanka Chopra?

There were reports that after wrapping up the shoot for Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor-starrer 'Padmavati', Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to embark on his next project 'Gustakhiyan' with Priyanka Chopra. A biopic based on the life of poet and lyricist Sahir Ludhanvi, Priyanka Chopra is touted to play the part of Amrita Pritam in his life.
However, if Siddharth and Garima, who have frequently collaborated with the director are to be believed, 'Gustakhiyan' just might not be SLB's next directorial. Talking about the director's plans, the duo revealed, "No, it’s not 'Gustakhiyan'. I think he’s producing that movie but not directing, I am not sure about that. But the script that we both are writing will be directed by him surely."
They further added, "'Padmavati' was a script which was already written by Sanjay sir some ten years back just like 'Bajirao Mastani'. Even with 'Bajirao Mastani', me and Garima have merely written the sequences between Deepika and Ranveer, and that too as a favour for Sir since he’s our mentor. With 'Padmavati', there was no scope for us since everything was all ready. The subject was in his mind since long."
