With the talent and grace the young Pataudi Princess possesses, we’re not surprised things are turning up with signs for stopping. According to a report in local news tabloid, Sara Ali Khan has bagged the lead role of the remake of the David Dhawan classic, Coolie No. 1, opposite Varun Dhawan.
Sara and Varun would be playing the roles of Karisma Kapoor and Govinda from the original comedy film. After having an eventful debut year, with two releases ( Kedarnath and Simmba) Sara is currently filming for Imtiaz Ali film, Love Aaj Kal 1. Interestingly, the film’s prequel saw her father, Saif Ali Khan in the lead role.
The film is scheduled to go on floors in July this year. It will be the third time the father-son duo of Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan coming together.
Writer-director Farhad Samji however clarified to the publication that this film isn't a remake or a sequel but “an adaptation in a new format.” Without revealing much about the film's plot, Samji told the publication that the film will have “plenty of humour and colour, larger-than-life songs” and will be helmed on a “lavish scale”.
We can’t wait to see the chemistry between these two talented actors. What about you?
