Shah Rukh Khan clears the air about 'Raees' and 'Kaabil' clash
The theatrical trailer of ‘Raees’ released today, through which the makers announced that the film will now release on January 25 instead of January 26. This piece of news didn’t go well down the makers of ‘Kaabil’, who had just three days earlier announced that the film will release in the evening of Jan 25. Rakesh Roshan took this decision along with the distributors as he wanted the audience to get a preview of the film.

A clash that Rakesh Roshan was trying to avert is still on, and this has deeply angered the filmmaker. Speaking to a popular daily, Rakesh Roshan went on a rant against the makers of ‘Raees’ for preponing the film’s release date.

While Rakesh Roshan spoke about his concerns openly, Shah Rukh, at the trailer launch of ‘Raees’, was asked to comment on the same. Clearing the air, SRK said, “Actually we decided it first that we will release the film on Jan 25 as both the films were releasing on 26th. I think the discussion was over as soon as we got to know that both the films were releasing on the same date. So we had decided with our exhibitors and distributors that our film will release on the 25th instead of 26th. And I think Kaabil is releasing in the evening shows, whereas we will come at the regular shows. So there is no issue as such even if they decided to come before us. I think this is a logical decision because 26th is a holiday, and one can take advantage of that either with an evening show or a morning show.”
