Shah Rukh Khan honoured with the 'Kids Icon of the Year' award

Shah Rukh Khan recently added another feather to his cap. The superstar was recently honoured with the Kids Icon of the Year Award at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2016. Shah Rukh took this opportunity to share some of his fond childhood memories with the kids.

The actor said that he loved reading comic books as a kid, so much so that he would borrow money for the same. The superstar said, “I remember borrowing money from friends and relatives to buy my favourite Lotpot comics and it's so good to see the characters come to life. I was so fond of them. In fact, I like cartoons so much that even after a tiring day at work, I go back home and watch pre-recorded cartoons before going to bed."

Talking about his carefree childhood days, Shah Rukh further said, "When I was a kid, I always wanted to grow up, and now that I am old, I really miss my childhood. I think it's the best time of our lives when we are so carefree."

The event will be telecast on Nick on 1st January 2017.
