Some time back, Shah Rukh Khan took to his Twitter handle and shared his bucket list which included things like ‘learn the guitar’, ‘learn to cook’, ‘learn to make five cocktails’, ‘find a perfect pair of jeans’…and much more. Well, it seems the superstar has now started checking off the things from the list as well!

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, SRK made an interesting revelation saying, “I want to open a restaurant. I want to cook Italian food.” Woah, we didn’t see that one coming did we?

He continued, “I’m like Jake LaMotta (boxer). When he became fat, he started a restaurant where he used to cook Italian food and serve people. I want to be like that. When I become fat, I want to open a restaurant near Juhu or somewhere, and serve people.”

“I really love cooking. I’ve never had the time to do it. My father and mother used to cook. I’ve started learning how to cook Italian food. I think I’ll look very sexy in just an apron. Of course, most of the guests will run away if I’m only wearing an apron (laughs), but I want to serve people,” added SRK.

Shah Rukh has already begun to build a kitchen for himself and has bought all the accessories as well. Recently when he was in Europe filming for Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rahnuma’, he learnt a bit of cooking from a lady from the film’s team. Shah Rukh says it was just the start and he wants to keep learning.

Ask him where he gets the inspiration to embark upon this journey and the superstar fondly says, “I would like to do it for my children. I don’t know how to interact with them, and I’m not someone who imposes. But the one thing that connects all of us is ‘khaana aa gaya hai’ (the food is here). When I cook for them, I don’t feel like I’m encroaching on their space, but khaana toh khayenge hi (but they’ll have to eat food). “

That sweet of him, isn’t it? We can’t wait to see Shah Rukh as a chef, can you?
