Shah Rukh Khan: When I become organised, it will be dangerous for others

On Tuesday, Shah Rukh Khan attended the 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards Press conference, in Mumbai. The actor spoke in great detail about his films and his achievements. King Khan said,“My desire to be there at Filmfare Awards has never lessen. The essence of Filmfare will Insha Allah remain the same. All the people who get the awards deserve, I believe that good evening everyone. Thank you everyone for Filmfare family. I want to say two three things about Filmfare. When we are growing up and when I was growing up when I was in Delhi remember watching bits and pieces.”
He added, “I didn't know whether I want to be actor. I wasn't too sure but the feeling was overwhelming when I saw on TV. First time when I came here I was new and my films had not released and that time to get pass was difficult. Hum bahaut piche khade hoke dekh rahe the and I was hoping I should do something like that. The idea was always to be on this stage. As the years have gone by my desire to be on the stage of Filmfare has not gone down. The idea was somehow can we change the face of presentation.
“Can we bring in some entertainement and comic sense and still do with dignity which we started. This is one of the award function I really enjoy coz it starts with technical award and it's really nice to give respect to everyone. It's a dignified stage to give award to the people who are behind the camera. All the awards are given to calibre, jury and I can vouch for the fact. Ek zamaana tha jab main creative mein Bhi participate kar leta tha. If you’re not nervous, you’re not great enough an actor. A year before Deewana a friend of mine got Filmfare Awards...watching that I felt like how I wish I would also get it. We have had discussions over the years to take Filmfare Awards over the seas,” he added.
Talking about Amitabh Bachchan he further added, “Amit ji bahaut humble hai ans I think great actor ki quality yeh Hoti hai ki jab bhi kisike samne aate hai how we present. Whenever Amit ji comes on stage he always hope to create something new. His ability and newverouness on the stage shows he is the greatest actor. It’s a strange thing but I love Awards. Madhuri Dixit, whenever she performs is wonderful. I enjoy performances of Hrithik Roshan’s & Shahid Kapoor. I really appreciate it when actors put their hard work & perform.”
“I have watched Lipstick Under My Burkha just to sound intellectual. I’ve not signed any film apart from Aanand L Rai film. Nobody is better than me as a host to be honest! When I got first Filmfare award that night I truly felt my parents are seeing my work...We have had discussions over the years to take Filmfare Awards over the seas,” he added.
When asked if after winning so manu awards they all hold the same importance today, he said, “I have always liked awards. It's not to personally convince myself and it's not also to profess to the world, but I just like awards. And all the sports when i participated in it but giving everything to it was important but holding a trophy is important. The feel has continued. I love the feeling when the national anthem is playing. I play ludo on Anand Rai film I like when I win...”
“I come from theatre background I have a sense of humour on personal and professional level. I like to make people smile. My wife explained. Me when you started off you were junior now you were senior and now it might not look good. It might happen that it become insensitive. Normally when I am going to do something that's it's going to be funny but hurt people emotion than I call and ask them. Earlier years it was easier now it's bit difficult. Now I feel that the trend has been pushed too much.. now I try to curtail it,” he further added.
Asked, as an audience what was the performance thet excited him, he said, “Initially it wasn't so much performance based. When actors come and perform it's nice. Some of the ladies I really enjoy. Madhuri Dixit whenever she performs on the stage I enjoy. Hrithik, Shahid and a r Rahman when they work hard I enjoy.”
When asked which films were his favourite, he said,“ I saw lipstick Under my burkha, Shubha Mangal sawadhan, tiger Zinda hai and I also saw Bareli ki Barfi which was very sweet...”
“I am trying to change for the good. I am trying to sleep early as well and come on time at events. I am trying to control my smoking habits as well. I will show to the world that I come on time but people don’t come on time. When I become organised, it will be dangerous for others. Tumlog AB darr ke rehna Mujhse,” he added.
Speaking about Aanand L Rai’s film’s poster not coming on time, he jokingly said, “yahi main bataa raha hoon maine sab shoot kar liya hai but ye log sab time pat nahi hai. It is the most advanced film made in the world.”
Shah Rukh Khan also spoke about Salman’s birthday too. “tum Jio Hazaro saaal... God bless him... I wanted to go on his farm but my children are here so sent him a message.
