Shahid's brother Ishaan Khatter is all set to make his Bollywood debut in Shashank Khaitan's ‘Dhadak’ opposite Janhvi Kapoor. Shahid Kapoor said to a leading news portal, "Ishaan knows how to craft his future and make a career as an actor. The decision to choose this line is entirely his. He wants to do this.”

Shahid said that Ishaan had been accompanying him on the sets, "Ishaan was very young when I became an actor. He has spent his childhood accompanying me on set. So, he has seen the process [of making a film]. He is fortunate to have grown up in such an atmosphere."

The ‘Pamavati’ actor said he is yet to watch ‘Beyond The Clouds’, “I have been pleading Ishaan to show it to me. But, it's not his decision. Majidi has to take that call. I hope he keeps a few screenings. He's a talented actor. I tell him that success comes easily, but a star must know how to maintain it. You need to battle downfall. I can't think of any star who hasn't gone through a bad patch."

Ishaan's mother Neelima Azeem spoke about her younger son making his debut in ‘Dhadak’. "Nothing could be better than this and I think they are doing something very different and interesting. (Shashank) Khaitan is somebody I can completely trust Ishaan with and Karan has been so warm and loving to Ishaan. So, I think they are going to make a fantastic film.”
